Context

This project was completed in my Science Methods class in Block II in the Spring of 2006. To complete this project I took pictures of Science all around me with a digital camera. I also had to include two critical thinking questions about each picture.

Impact

To complete this project I had to consider the numerous ways that science can be found in my everyday life. This project broadened my concept of science. By completing this project, I noticed objects in my environment more than usual. It will help my teaching because I will be able to ask my students to consider science in many ways. This project will help me to integrate science and technology in my future classroom. I learned to take pictures with my digital camera, edit them in Adobe workshop and create a Power Point presentation.

Alignment

I met Standard 15 Indicator 1 by making real world connections with science. This project also asks critical thinking questions that may not have been thought about prior to viewing the Power Point. All students in a classroom could participate in this project if computers were available.
