Science Circus

Context

During the Spring semester of 2006 for Jeff Goodman's science class, I worked with a partner to create a station for our Science circus. For our station we had to pick on of the processing skills and plan an interactive activity for our classmates. Tiffany and I decided to have our classmates check their pulse before and after completing jump in jacks and record their results.

Impact

Creating and implementing a science circus with your students would be a great way to get your students to get up out of their desks completing hands-on-activities. I will use a science circus in my classroom to help my students learn about the science processing skills. This helps students analyze and interpret science data.

Alignment

I have met Standard 10 by providing a hands-on experience for my classmates that included the science processing skills.

NC- North Carolina DPI Elementary Education Specialty Area Standards
