Classroom Webpage Rationale
Context: This assignment was completed in my CI 3750 Integrating Media and Technology into Teaching under the instruction of Mary Rogers in block one of Spring 2007. The technologies used for this assignment were Microsoft Publisher and the Internet.
Impact: This assignment was intended for students and parents to become familiar with the resources I made available in my classroom. Students and parents could see when assignments were do, explore informational and educational websites and see pictures of my practicum experience with their children.
Alignment:
- NETS-T II-E: I met this standard by making assignment due dates available for viewing and by directing students to educational websites.
- NETS-T II-C: I met this standard by allowing students to explore the world wide web and stretch their creative thinking.
- NETS-T V-A: After making this webpage I am able to continually update and change the webpage according to my classroom. I also found websites that were informational about media literacy.
- NETS-T VI-A: I met this standard by getting student release forms signed for taking pictures.
- NETS-T VI-C: I met this standard by creating shortcuts for homework help as well as a monthly calendar.
- NETS-T IV-B: I met this standard by interpreting my media survey results.
- NETS-T II-B : I met this standard by researching different websites concerning media literacy as well as helpful and informational websites for students and parents.
- NETS-T V-B: I met this standard by surveying my students on media and researching educational websites for students and parents.
