Curriculum development and lesson planning are a vital part of the teacher's role in the classroom.  The purpose of this activity was to receive exposure in the development of a lesson plan that integrates cultural diversity.  To begin, I reflected upon previous classroom discussions about curriculum and instruction, bias free instructional materials, and effective teaching strategies.  After targeting the subject my partner and I wanted to teach, we found a state standard of Arizona, and then located the perfect activity online.  This lesson is just part of a larger classroom unit that would meet the entire state standard on Native Americans.  My partner and I presented our lesson plan to the class using the PowerPoint attached below as our visual aid.
