Masters Thesis: Teaching Social Justice Through Mathematics Curriculum

Attached is a copy of my thesis, which was completed in December, 2009. For my thesis, I created a handbook that includes various "real-world" mathematic projects and activities that were intwined with social justice issues. My thesis includes research that supports the need for social justice currciculum, as well as the importance of making mathematical concepts more relevant. Through my research, I found different resources and activities for students in 5th-12th grade.
