Ways to Get Involved

1. Want to get directly involved in Inspired Youth? Become a volunteer! Go to: http://www.inspiredyouthchicago.org/application.html and fill out the Tutor Application. The application takes less than 3 minutes! After completing this step someone will contact you! 

 

2. Have extra books or school supplies? Donate them! Inspired Youth can always use the extra supplies. Charitable donations are always appreciated! 

 

Go to: http://www.inspiredyouthchicago.org/donate.html to get to Inspired Youth's PayPal to make a donation online! If check is preferred,

send the check to:  Inspired Youth

3. Like politics? Work with other individuals, or even organize a group to lobby for education reform. For more information go to: http://www.edreformnow.org/ 

 

 

4. Want a challenge? Try starting your own youth organization! Got to: http://ctb.ku.edu/en/tablecontents/sub_section_main_1169.aspx and/or http://ncfy.acf.hhs.gov/publications/guide-to-starting-and-managing-a-youth-program for some great tips to help you on your journey!

 

 

5. Enjoy exercise?  Participate in a run/walk for education!

Got some free time on October 21st, 2012? Go to: http://www.washoerunforeducation.org/ and sign up for this Fun Run! There are run/walks for education happening all across the United States, try one out!

 

6. A simple way to help out often is buying products with box tops!  For more information about which products have box tops go to http://www.boxtops4education.com/. Each product has a 10 cent box top that benefit your local school, remember every bit helps!

7. Graduating soon or in a few years? Have you considered a teaching program? 8.  Get informed! Read up on your local legislation for IL click here: http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ilcs/ilcs3.asp?ActID=1005&ChapterID=17 (U.S. Department of Education), http://www.isbe.state.il.us/gov_relations/default.htm (IL State Board of Education) and inform others!
