My name is Jessica Decker and I am originally from Savannah, Georgia. Currently, I am a senior studying Biology at Loyola University Chicago. Although I have been a Biology student since freshman year, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life after graduation until this summer. This past August, I ventured to Ghana with a group of Loyola students for a medical brigade. The trip lasted 11 days and was a truly life changing experience. After experiencing the global brigade, I have no doubt in my mind that I want to work closely with children. Since my trip to Ghana, I have spent time reflecting on my life goals and future career choices. I created this blog in the hopes to raise awareness about service learning and reflect upon my experiences as a global brigader. Enjoy!
