My experiences in Ghana have completely shifted my views on the world and what I want to do with my future. I want to keep my passion for justice work ignited simply because I have never felt happier or more empowered than when I was volunteering in Ghana. Since the brigade, I have spent time researching ways I can stay involved in non-profit work. After seeing the health conditions in the Ghanian community I traveled to, I believe that it is my duty and destiny to provide equal health care access and opportunities to people around the world regardless or class, location, race or religion. Recently, I have decided that my goal is to one day participate in Doctors without Borders and I believe this will be help me attain my goal of providing health care worldwide. As of right now, I am finding simple ways to stay involved in service learning work. Currently, I am leading the annual service project for the greek honor society at Loyola University Chicago, Order of Omega. I have been in contact with a community kitchen, A Just Harvest, and I am planning a campus wide clothes/food drive for the winter.
