The Senior Project functions as a writing major's "thesis," exercising all previously learned writing techniques to develop a portfolio or long-form piece of writing with the genre and focus of the student's choice. The project is mostly independent; however, the student work closely with a faculty mentor, and workshop with students writing their projects in similar genres. The required length and complexity of this project at the completion of the course is determined by the faculty mentor. The "finished" project should not only reflect an understanding of writing as a craft, but also should be representitive of the writer in future employment or publishing situations. 

I will begin my senior project in January of 2013.
