CONNECTION-Make a connection while reading to another story, movie, poem,
 your own life, or someone's life you know 

 Text to text - A connection made between two text

 Text to self - A connection made between the text and a personal experience

 Text to world - A connection made between the text and a current world event

REACTION-"Boy, this makes me feel"; Write your emotions or feelings about a
 favorite part 

OPINION- "Well, in my opinion, I think"; Write your own opinion about characters,
 setting, theme, etc. 

PREDICTION- What do you think will happen next? Write your predictions based
 on your knowledge of the text.

QUESTIONS- Create, thinking or "fat" questions. Remember that you want to
 have questions that could not be answered with "yes" or "no". 

VISUALIZE-"I can imagine what that looked like (sounded like, tasted like, 
felt like)." Write down your "mind-movie" on paper.
