LIGHT

REFLECTION

The presentation that I listened to was informative. I learned more about how electricity came about in the world. Basically the history of electrcity. I also learned the new tech. that G.E is introducing. In a light bulb I also learned about how it acually lights up, whtas all in a bulb, and the different kinds of light bulbs. The G.E presenter also beifly touched on the subject of how we see. I want to learn more of that subject. I also learned the explaination of what is light and how we use it.

LIGHT QUOTE- ''When thinking there is light''

FACTS ABOUT EDISON.

-has 1,093 pantents

-invented the first incandescent light bulb

-he also invented electrical grids

Reflection of light and color tuesday april 28

Light is related to color. Light is electromagnetic energy. We see the color of the light. Light is beams of radiations. The inside of the light is a rod that heats up and as it gets hotter it produces brighter light. This relates because we can see this light. We have cones and rods in our eyes that give us the ability to be able to see light in the dark and daylight. our eyes are sensitive to certain color that also give us the ability to see colors.  Different light sources make what we consider light. Alot of chemicals go into them and the reflections of the light gives us the thought of color.

Notes

-color and light

-without light there is no color. we preceive colors. its a neurophysiological process your brain goes through. color is produced by light. electromanetic vibrations

-visible spectrum shows the wave length meters the different light we have and visible light.[400-700]

-light can be absorbed of reflected.

gama rays, x rays, uv, visible, infrared radar, radio waves, ac circuits

light is electromagnetic force.

Time and Life Photography

daisey bates.jpg

Activist Daisy Bates (center) stands in front of her home in Little Rock in September 1957 with four of the nine students she advised in their drive to integrate the city's Central High School.

I chose this picture because to me it shows women power. this is a picture of daisey bates. she is a activist of the equality of students being able to go to school together. she is trying to integrate some of her students into central high school. this is a historical picture because it has to do with brown VS education. it shows women power to me because daisey bates is doing a great thing and they are sticking togethere to overcome this discrimination not only is bates is but the students.

The emotions make this picture strong, to me this picture is showing dasiey and the students making plans. the faces are showing a little confusion and determination,maybe not sure.

Favorite picture

Marilyn Monroe

This is a photograph of Marilyn Monroe. She was an actress but she passed away. I don't know why but,she has been an idol to me. She spoke great words about women being independent and streghth and I loved that about her. she had a lot of confidence too and at times thought logical. but, she did have sicological issues. in my eyes this is a pretty picture of her. she dosent show a lot of emotion,but its still my favorite picture.

writing for laser measurment and calculation of capacitance

laser  galv.jpg

inductance-electricity, a coil used to introduce inductance into an electric circuit,change in a current

frequency-the number of cycles or completed alternations per unit time of a wave or oscillation

capacitance-eletrical change. the ratio of the charge on either conductor of a capacitor to the potential difference between the conductor

inductance: L= rm2N2/8rm+11d

rm=1.625 N=52 d=0.25

L=(1.625)2 * 52(2)/8(1.625)+11(0.25)=1225.52

measuring distance with a laser

frequency- F=5/8 divided by 2 times .0256 times 16/25 = .00512

Capacitance = 1 divided by .00512 times 4 times pie squared times .00122552= 9.4399
