AP Physics 2    1 credit

Prerequisite: Honors Chemistry and Algebra II    

Students should be concurrently or previously enrolled in AP Calculus.  Heavy emphasis is placed on the mathematical description of physical events, many of which will be introduced via laboratory experiments. Students are expected to learn to analyze events both conceptually and mathematically. Extensive daily out-of-class preparation is required of the student.  Topics covered are heat, thermodynamics, magnetism, optics, and nuclear physics. Students will be expected to purchase supplemental materials.
