Honors Physics    1 credit

Prerequisite: Honors Chemistry

This course is designed for the highly motivated and mathematically oriented student and is a logical extension of the Science Honors Program. Students must be recommended by a science teacher and should be concurrently enrolled in Precalculus Honors.  This course will emphasize problem-solving skills developed in Chemistry Honors and apply these skills to problems and experiments in motion, gravitation, energy, optics, electricity, magnetism and quantum mechanics, and nuclear physics. Inquiry and the development of thinking skills are emphasized. Pass/fail option is not available.
