This WebQuest was designed to give young students an enjoyable and interactive way to learn letter recognition and about letters. Letter recognition is an important skill that is a predecessor to reading. This WebQuest utilizes PowerPoint, the internet, the alphabet, and the students’ names.

 

Here is an overview of the WebQuest:

  1. Your first task will be to explore the letters of the alphabet.
  2. Your second task will be to hunt for all the special letters in your name and put them in a PowerPoint presentation.
  3. Your third task will be to hunt for words that begin with each letter in your name.

Students will learn the following things when the activities are completed:

 

«     Follow directions when working on WebQuest

«     Identify the letters of the alphabet

«     Put the letters of your name in the correct order
