WebQuests are designed to teach students topics where the learning is drawn from the web while teaching the standards. WebQuests utilize multiple learning approaches such as analysis, evaluation, and creativity. I designed this WebQuest for kindergarten. Students are to use the provided websites to complete this excting learning activity about their name.

There are 26 letters in the alphabet!

 

What are the special letters in your name?

You will be creating a PowerPoint presentation of YOUR VERY OWN NAME 
with EXCITING ANIMATED letters of your choice.
You will then choose your FAVORITE OBJECTS that start with the letters of your name
to complete your PowerPoint presentation.

Annimated Name

 

1.      Select one Alphabet Style from the following styles:

 

Dancing Alphabet

 

Fire Rainbow Alphabet

</A>
</A>Squiggle Toonz Alphabet</PRE>
Train Alphabet

2.      From the Alphabet style you selected in #1 - Right click a letter of your name.

3.      Copy the letter.
4.      Open PowerPoint and create a blank slide.
5.      Paste the letter on the PowerPoint slide.
6.      Repeat #2 - #5 until you have spelled your name into PowerPoint.
7.      This is the first slide of your PowerPoint presentation.
Favorite Object:
1.      Visit the following site: Enchanted Learning
</A>2.      Click on the first letter of your name on the website.
3.      Find your "favorite object" from the picture dictionary under the letter you clicked on.
4.      Right click your "favorite object."
5.      Copy your "favorite object."
6.      Open your PowerPoint presentation and add a new PowerPoint slide.
7.      Paste your "favorite object" into the next slide of PowerPoint.
8.      Copy and paste the name of your "favorite object" below the picture from the website.
9.      Repeat #9 - #15 with the other letters of your name until you choose a "favorite objects" for each letter of your name.
10.  Congratulations you have completed your PowerPoint presentation.
