See the attached rubrics for discussion. -- Faculty will receive an online survey to help us start the work of completing these tools for CTC Core Assessment.
When you save the spreadsheet to your own file, please label it with your lastname. Then as you create your own adaptations and recommendations, you can use it to contribute to development of the institutional master. Because this is such a large amount of material, also please highlight any changes you make to your copies. We will begin with the master for faculty group work, to adapt it for pilot scoring and developing final versions. Keep in mind that these should be practical for faculty to apply in scoring sophomore work for institution-level data gathering.
All faculty are asked to contribute their comments on these rubrics, and to adapt them to their courses to reflect comparable expectations across study disciplines. Faculty work groups will be convened during 2014 to create CTC's master core scoring rubrics.
Some faculty, notably in the sciences, have developed specific rubrics to apply in their fields. it is important to integrate this groundwork to assure that score levels will translate accurately to the institutional master.
