Sally Dooley

I have been a teacher or school librarian for 24 years.  Most of that time was at the middle school level in Catalina Foothills School District.  The last seven years were at Sabino High School.  The information landscape gets more complicated everyday yet easier to access.  I love my job working with teachers, students, computers and occasionally books.  In my free time I make an effort to keep fit, keep a watchful eye on my teenage boys, hike, read and cook.  We have a dog and an African Sulcata tortoise (50 lbs and growing).  My husband and I share some our boys' musical tastes and enjoy attending concerts with them, usually in the summer.

I have had a thirty year plus career in the business world.  Coming to Salpointe, I had the opportunity to work with Administration, Faculty and Staff as an administrative assistant.  This is my first year in the wonderful world of books at Salpointe (library assistant) and I love the challenge of learning something new and seeing more students in one month then I had seen in the eight years as office staff.  The students are the heart of Salpointe and I am truly enjoying this new experience.  My hobbies are reading, sewing and tending to my husband and pets (one husband, 3 dogs and 1 cat).
