Assistant Account Manager (Pac/West Communications)

Assistant Account Manager

Pac/West Communications

Wilsonville, OR

June 2011-February 2016

Description: My duties varied greaty on the needs of the office and my fellow coworkers. A majority of my work consisted of in-depth research for client media reports and proposals. Every day I reviewed and scanned media outlets to create client-specific reports on various industries. This research spaned a wide array of topics from energy initiatives, natural resource management, local to federal government campaigns, healthcare and more. I constantly kept up to date with local, state, and national political fronts to better understand and assist clients. I assisted with grassroots campaigns, press releases and project coordination. Additional tasks ranged from proofreading, database management to canvassing neighborhoods with informational pieces.

Reflection: As my first full time job and working up from an office assistant, I learned valuable skills that carries over to any project within the office and beyond. Customer service and professionalism are are the upmost importance due to the caliber of clients and the types of services the company provides. Most projects required more than one person so teamwork is essential. Leaning how to work with others and finding my strengths in a group has been a vital skill acquired during my time at the company. Furthermore, my written and oral skills have increased and allowed for a clearer presentation of myself and topics.
