Description: This iexperience was split between assisting two companies: BCD M&I and Genesys Telecommunications. I shadowed the Senior Manager of Global Events at Genesys Telecommunications at two of their company events. While at each event, I was able to work with the team members of BCD M&I who handled the overall coordination of the events. The first event was in Los Angeles and the second in Seattle. At both events, I assisted with the asembly and istribution of agenda materials, performed signage duties and assisted with the overall flow of the events. 

Reflection: Through shadowing members of the event planning industry, I have sharpened time management, organizational, and teamwork skills. Not only were my skills imporved, but I was exposed to an industry I am now very enthusiastic about and hope to pursue in a career. Every event is different with varrying needs. Aspects are constantly changing and I had to be ready to address any issue that arose and assist in solving problems on the spot. This industry is very exhilerating and I was very fortunate to be able to attend two events with inspiring people. I have learned that through this industry there is a lot of personal growth and advancement that can be achieved and I was able to push myself and learn what it means to provide top-notch service while being energetic and organized.
