Average of all class and home work

Each assignment given during the 10 day unit was graded on a 4 point scale per my cooperating teacher's method of grading.

While he was much more straight forward and gave straight numbers (i.e 0-4) I gave points on a more precisise scale beginning with a 0 and then going up by .25 to 4.

My intention was to be sure I was giving them a grade that truly reflected their learning which includes effort. I do not believe in giving a 0 unless they have earned that 0. All attempted work was given a score.

The general rubric that I applied to each assignment was as follows::

4-Learning goals met

3-Learning goals nearly met

2-Learning goals are not clear, but on the right track

1-Learning goals not met, but effort is made.

0-Learning goals not met, no effort made.
