One thing that makes America great is the many different cultures present throughout the country. Likewise, one thing that makes schools great are the many different cultures present within the school walls. Therefore, teachers must embrace cultural diversity and integrate culturally diverse books into their lesson plans. In addition, it is important for parents to understand why this is so important to their child.
