Throughout my time spent in the classroom management course offered at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, my discipline skills have improved dramatically. They have improved because of the many wonderful things I have learned. For example, I have heard guest speakers, such as Diane Hale, speak about surviving the first year of teaching. In addition, through doing theorist presentations within groups, I now understand more classroom management theories and which ones coincide with my teaching style. Also, through reading different chapters in our classroom management book, such as dealing with parents, communication, and being proactive instead of reactive, and discussing these topics among my classmates; I now have a variety of ideas concerning these topics. This course is a wonderful beginning in helping me face classroom management. By viewing the different pages under this section, you can learn more about what I now know and can learn more yourselves about classroom management.
