Title: Math Curse

Authors: Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith

Summary: Math has never been so funny. When Mrs. Fibonacci tells her class, "You know, you can think of almost everything as a math problem," the Math Curse begins for the little girl in the story. Getting dressed, eating breakfast, waiting for the bus -- EVERYTHING becomes a math problem. How will the math curse ever be broken? By using math, of course. People who like math + People who hate math = People who will love this latest book from the team of Scieszka and Smith.

Grade Level: 4-6 grade

Why I chose this book: This book is hilarious and educational all at the same time. The pictures are eye catching and the plot is wonderful. In addition, this book holds student's attention and really teaches students about how math is used in everyday life. Also, it received a good reccommendation from a fifth grade teacher.
