The Introduction to Education course I took during the fall semester at Chandler Gilbert Community College, has given me a greater insight on teaching as a profession. My instructors have used different teaching techniques to comply with the many different learning styles. I have viewed movies pertaining to teaching, class discussions were brought about after reading various articles, and guest speakers have come into the classroom to talk about class room management, school accountability, and teaching at a Junior High Level. Not only have I been taught about teaching as a profession, but the course has also provided current information on “hot topics” regarding education. For example, I have been taught current information regarding the AIMS test. I was involved in a research project regarding this topic, and I have also read many newspaper articles relating to this test. Through a group project, I have also been taught about the No Child Left Behind Act passed by President George Bush. This course has helped me learn more about teaching, and has been useful in my education.</i>
