Below is a square construction that I have made using only a compass and a straightedge. This construction demonstrates how to make a square by using the vertices of a circle. Constructions do not have to be complicated, they can actually be enjoyable. When I become a future teacher and Geometry is the focus, I will have my students construct their own objects so that they can familiarize themselves with Geometric tools, such as a compass and a straightedge.
