Crossing the River, a game used to help teach probability, is designed for any grade. This activity requires two dice, Crossing the River Worksheet (see attatchment), and a pencil. On the worksheet 11 columns numbered 2-12 are given. Students are to randomely place 36 marks in each column. The teacher then rolls the two dice. When two numbers are read, the students find the sum of the dice. Then, the check mark that correlates with the number is moved across the river. This game allows for student's to participate and discover probability.
