Desktop Publishing

In Desktop Publishing, my honors project consisted of two parts. The first is in conjunction with my service learning. I asked my mentor teacher if I could create anything for her using Microsoft Publisher that could actually be of use. Instantly, she told me that I could create a newsletter for her class that she normally does biweekly. She gave me information and then, I put that information in a nice newsletter that was sent out to parents of a fourth grade class. The second part of my project, consisted of instruction. I was asked to teach the t3 learning community how to construct a classroom layout using Publisher. I designed a step-by-step worksheet helping them fulfill this assignment. The links below consist of the fourth grade newsletter with calendar, my classroom layout, and the step-by-step worksheet on how to make a layout using Publisher. (I would like to note that even though the newsletter was for a real class, names have been changed for protection on the web).
