The following is a measurement activity that is enjoyed by students of all ages. Pass out this worksheet to each student, and place students in groups of two. Then, provide five measuring devices. Items that work well are a scraper, match box, nail, highlighter, and a paper clip. Have students measure all items using a different measuring tool each time. On the whiteboard, chart down the class data and talk about different units. This activity allows students to relate measurement to real-life objects by moving around the classroom and having a good time.
