Rationale
Context: This document was created during the Fall semester, 2005, in my children's reading class. It was created through the use of Microsoft Word. I used original ideas to compile the following activities. Many books were used in the development of these learning activities. The multi-text study was produced to prove competency in the creating of a unit plan that incorporates multiple texts at the students' grade level that provide students with a richer, fuller learning experience after reading one selected novel.
Impact: I would use this type of learning experience to incorporate additional reading material, for students in higher grades, after a novel had been read as a class or in small groups. Students would be able to experience multiple activities through the multi-text study that should further their knowledge and experiences with certain related subjects.
