Rationale

Context:  This portfolio was created during the Fall semester, 2005 at Appalachian State University.  Most of the documents found in this portfolio are original ideas created by myself, with a few items that were created with the help and support of my peers and/or professors.   The program Task Stream was used to format and organize, as well as post this work; although many pieces of work were created in different programs. 

Impact:  I will use this portfolio to help share my teaching ideas with my peers, other teachers and principles and administrators at my future schools.  This portfolio will help in the presenting of my work to my ASU professors, allowing them to simply see the National and State Standards that have been met through my work.  I will continue to update this portfolio during student teaching, Spring 2006, as well as throughout my career as a teacher.   This portfolio will also aid other professionals in easily accessing my resume, philosophy of teaching as well as my career goals and teaching goals.

• NETS-T IA:  I have shown competency in basic technology skills by providing a variety of examples where technology has been integrated into the lessons, as well as properly using the technology to organize, consolidate and present this portfolio.
