Rationale

Context:  I have proven competency in standard four of the North Carolina Standards for teachers, approved by the NC State Board of Education.  I have fulfilled the appropriate number of indicators during the Fall semester, 2005, at Appalachian State University in my Social Studies methods class. While most of these standards I met on my own, a few were met through the help of cooperating students as well as my Social Studies professor.

Impact:  I will use the various materials I created to help further elementary aged student' knowledge in the subject of Social Studies, including History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Religious Studies, Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.
