What does your pursuit say about your culture or creativity?
I have family in Mexico and it always surprises the things they do for creativity sake. Though I am sure we have traditions and practices that we follow that may seem like  a lot of work to them I am always amazed at the creativity of my family in Mexico. For example a Mexican tradition is to make an alter for those are deceased. They go all out! they decorate it with designs made of rice, beans , flower petals, candles, they add pictures of our love ones and their favorite food. It just surprises me how they are able to use their creativity to honor our relatives that have passed away. There is no requirement they just do it because they want to and they like having a creative and beautiful outcome. I think that is the feeling that I want to achieve during this summer pursuit. I want to achieve a creative and beautiful product because I want it. Because  Bert wants to be proud of his work and wants to have a final product to express my creativity and love for American Sign Language. I also think it goes back to my Mexican roots of the creative trades that my family has. For example my mother makes jewelry and she has always worn he jewelry proud of her work. I want to feel the same I want to work in a field where I am proud of people watching my interpretations and the creativity I put towards my signing.
