Here is some of the information I have collected over the years to help with the AEPA. The PowerPoint presentation was a couple of years old so I updated the information about the test dates. I think most of the rest of the information is still valuable and timely. It will serve as a great refresher if you have taken the workshop on campus. If you haven't taken the workshop it will still be very helpful but you will be missing out on all of the valuable personal tips and the practice test provided by the workshop instructor. I am also attaching a Word document I compiled with tips and information from many sources including former students. I hope you will find the information in these two documents helpful as you prepare for the AEPA. They include some valuable sections on important key terms in teach area of the test as well as practice test items. It's really helpful to try to answer the questions and then look at the answer key to find the correct answer and the explanation as to why it is correct or how it was solved. If you just have time to focus on a few of these resources, use the handout I gave you of Tips/Resources, the Workshop PowerPoint presentation, and as many practice tests as possible. If you find you have gaps/weaknesses in a specific area such as math, social studies, fine arts, go to Dr. Haas' website to take a look at links that may help to refresh your memory in these areas. Don't worry about your score or spend time focusing on the "results" of the test. Keep your focus on mentally preparing for the test using the objectives to guide you. Remember: relax and don't over-analyze the questions. Use the questions in the multiple choice part of the test to help you remember important terms/concepts that you might be able to use in your essay. Read the essay questions first before you begin the test so you can star related items in the multiple choice test as you go through it. Allow yourself plenty of time for the essay.
Good luck!! Be sure to let me know how you do! RELAX! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! YOU ARE READY! YOU ARE GOING TO PASS!

ADE Official AEPA website
Use this link to access all of the official documents for the AEPA including the link for checking on your results after you take the test.
ASU Link for Dr. Haas' AEPA Resources
This is the link on the website Dr. Nancy Haas created that has tons of resources for content knowledge. It says it is geared for secondary education, but there are many resources that might help you fill in some gaps. It's organized by the Categories and objectives on the AEPA.
Dr. Christie's Math/Science links
This is also a great website for math/science links compiled by Dr. Alice Christie from ASUW. It might be helpful to look at some of the science/math units created by some of her students to get an idea about how they approached teaching the lessons. They represent all grade levels.

Special Suggestions for Essay Tests
This is a good refresher about how to write a good essay. It's not specifically geared to the AEPA, but it is very helpful.
Special Suggestions for Objective Tests
These are the tips I provided during our study session and in this section on TaskStream. They are helpful tips even though they aren't specifically geared to the AEPA. Your study guide is your best resource for tips related specifically to the AEPA.
