Context:

This assignment was created under the instruction of Jeff Goodman for GS 4401: Science and Science Technology in Elementary Schools in the Fall of 2007.

It was created for future use in the classroom when teaching Matter.

Impact:

The list of web sites is developed to give teachers a resource to help in the teaching of matter.  The web sites include basic information, activities for students, links to other resources, and lesson plans to help teachers develop a solid method of teaching matter.  The impact on students come from the knowledge the teacher has on the subject that enables them to develop lessons that will enhance the understanding of students on the subject matter.

Standard 3: Indicator 2: Teachers have knowledge of basic physical science concepts including:

• Structure and properties of matter

This indicator is met by the list of web sites because it provides resources for the instructor so that he/she may be able to gain the appropriate knowledge on the structure and properties of matter.
