Something that I really enjoy doing for my community is volunteering. Hroughout the years I have volunteered at hospitals such as community east. I have also volunteered at food pantries such as st. Vincent’s. This summer I went a ew way and decided to participate in a mission trip to Waukegan Illinois where a group of teens and I helped demolish and build a house through a program called fuller center which donates these homes for families in need. This experience was definitely amazing as it taught me several things and it showed me I had skills that I had never noticed before. Thorough this mission trip I was able to not only give back to the community but I was able to help others. This experience taught me that there are still people out in the world that care about others and have such a good heart that they share their time and money to be able to give out a house for a family who truly needs it. I hope to be able to do more mission trips and be part of more experiences like this in the future.
