Sample Work

This section provides samples of my work that serve to demonstrate my skills and abilities. These samples fall under three primary categories: communication skills, research competencies, and professional development.

Communication Skills

The documents attached below demonstrate my strong communication skills via:

  1. An email to the director of the Lilly Global Day of Service, asking for her permission to represent Lilly in our research
  2. An email to a professor with concerns about a course
  3. A paper summarizing a series of informational interviews with a professional in Operations

    This document has a copy of an email my coworker and I sent to our connection at Lilly. We had the opportunity to present on the LGDOS (See Research > Eli Lilly Global Day of Service) and wanted her approval to present our findings at a conference and represent Lilly in our presentations. She responded positively to this email and encouraged us to use their name and logo.

    This document has a copy of an email I sent to my graduate advisor regarding a professor for my Project Management class. We reached out to him with some concerns about the course and had very little response. This email was sent to the Head of the Department after several failed attempts to work with the professor.

    This paper is the culmination of three interviews with a gentleman in the HR field. As an assignment for my Foundations of Human Resources course, we were to seek out a professional in the field and conduct informational interviews to learn about their career and share valuable take-aways.

Professional Development

The attachment below demonstrates my experience creating a training program around hospital staff professionalism.

    The LEAH program is hosted by Indiana University. As part of the graduate level Managerial Training & Development course, a group of me and two peers developed the professionalism section of the larger training program. This document has the lesson plans, activities, and resources to facilitate the program.
