"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

The Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center at the University of Nebraska Omaha, pictured above, promotes hands-on community engagement and collaboration on campus by inviting community organizations to house initiatives within the Weitz Center. I had the opportunity to experience this revolutionary community center in-person at the Engagement Scholarship Consortium in October 2016.
As a civic-minded Millennial, I have a strong connection to my Indianapolis community and aspire to work with organizations such as the Weitz Center. I have been consistently involved on campus through a service-based student organization, Alpha Phi Omega, as well as through my jobs at Boys & Girls Club and in the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Please see the subtabs in this section to learn more about my volunteer experience and participation in community-organized commitees.
