Term Paper Expectations and Guidelines –
Opening Paragraph – The o.p. should be (your own) original thoughts so that the writer presents the context, setting, and importance of the topic. The writer also conveys an understanding of the importance of topic as a result of the research of primary and other sources. End the opening paragraph with an underlined thesis statement.
DON’T LIMIT THE PAPER/OUTLINE TO A CERTAIN NUMBER OF PARAGRAPHS!
DEVELOP CLEAR AND LOGICAL PARAGRAPH STRUCTURE.
CREATE A SEQUENTIAL/LOGICAL ORDER OF IDEAS… (I’d recommend to divide your outline/paper into three parts.)
