start  Ch. 18, S. 1 and 18.3. Due Thursday

WEDNESDAY: How did Heian court culture lead to the demise of the ritsuryo system?

THURSDAY: Ch. 18, S.1 and 3 are due. What were some of the phases in early Japanese history? What were some of the  unique attributes of early Japanese society? How do these attributes linger today?

FRIDAY:Start “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”… What does it take to be a considered an honorable person in Japan?  Start on Ch. 18, S. 2 and Ch. 18, S. 4 for next Tuesday.
