  1. A Game of Chance Lesson A Game of Chance Lesson ( 196.9 MB )

After reflecting on my lesson "A Game of Chance," I believe I have met all of the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Standards. The InTASC Standards provide a framework for all practitioners to model in order to be considered effective. These standards push teachers to plan accordingly to individual learning differences and help to better create a safe and supportive learning environment. As a student teacher, I am continuing develop and improve upon my craft along with these standards.

Although I believe I have met these rigorous standards, I am not above stating that I still have room to grow. I have chosen a couple of InTASC standards that I would like to focus on and further develop going forward.

Areas of Growth:

InTASC Standard 4: Content Knowledge - I hope to teach in a manner where I can create meaningful learning experiences. Also, I will strive to create lessons that are interconnected to best meet the needs of my students.

InTASC Standard 8: Instructinal Strategies - I want to learn and implement a variety of instructional strategies when appropriate.

Action Plan:

I plan to take initiative within my professional development by getting more involved with the school's programs. In doing so, I will have more learning experiences and will be better qualified as a perspective teacher. I will continue to seek advice and encouragement from my mentor and peers in order to become a better teacher candidate.
