Professional Goals

After graduating from Appalachian State University’s Reich College of Education, I hope to find a teaching job in Raleigh, NC. Presently, I would like to teach an upper elementary grade, preferably fifth grade. I plan to teach in the North Carolina public schools for many years before considering teaching at a private school. After teaching for a few years, I plan to go to graduate school and become AIG certified. I would then teach for a few more years before working to become board certified. With my certification to teach AG students, as well as being board certified, I may teach strictly AG, or I may stay in a traditional classroom or teach at a gifted school.
