Science Process Skills Center

Context:This science process skills center was created for science education GS 4401 under the advisement of Jeff Goodman during Block II in the fall of 2007.

Impact:This center could be used as a station in a classroom that students can visit at free times during the day (before/after school, etc.). This center can be used to get students excited about science through a hands-on activity, while also allowing students to gain experience in using a specific science process skill.

Alignment:Standard 10:Teachers provide active inquiry experiences in the teaching of science by using various questioning skills and developing science processing skills (predicting, classifying, measuring, inferring, interpreting, analyzing, and synthesizing). This standard was met because the center is designed around students engaging the specific process skill of measuring.
