Math is one of the core subjects taught in elementary schools. During my time at Appalachian I took CI 3030, a math methods class focused on developing number sense, and CI 4030, a math methods class focused on geometry. Between these two classes and my internships in kindergarten and third grade, as well as student teaching in third grade, I have come away with a variety of lessons and strategies pertaining to math instruction.
