Organizational Management

Application and Analysis

When I began the Organizational Management program at John Brown University, I was unaware of the impact the studies would have on every aspect of my life. The principles of Organizational Management extend beyond the business application. Throughout this program, I learned about being an empowered servant-leader, to lead like Jesus, with the development of those I lead at the forefront of my mind. I learned to integrate input from statistics, thought-leaders, and organizational stakeholders, to analyze and mold the data into actionable information and strategy. I learned that leadership can come from anywhere within an organization, regardless of position or status.

I view Organizational Management as a living subject, constantly evolving.  A manager must lead processes, create goals, and direct efforts. A leader must cast vision, set example, and render strategy. A person having mastered Organizational Management must be a combination of both.

“Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.” Peter Drucker
