Seventh Grade Spanish
The 7th grade Spanish class in an introductory course. Students meet once a week on Tuesday. Some of the things that are covered in this course are the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, months, how to order food, colors and articles of clothing. Another part of the course is learning about some countries that have Spanish as their first language. Other cultural information is discussed as well including holidays, birthdays, religious beliefs, foods and traditions.

Eighth Grade Spanish
The 8th grade Spanish course continues with what was learned in 7th grade. There is a short review at the beginning and then right away the course starts with conjugating verbs, learning more numbers, family members, things around the house, how to say where you are from, more food items, what you like to do and much more. By the end of the course the students will have learned small conversations in Spanish that they memorized and presented to the class. In the 8th grade Spanish class there is also more of an emphasis on vocabulary and showing the similarities that can be found in the English and Spanish languages that come from their Latin roots. This is done to not only help the student remember the meanings of words in Spanish, but to help them expand and remember English vocabulary as well. As with the 7th grade class, we also have some fun learning about different holidays, traditions, foods and different countries where Spanish is the first language.
