The Detroit bridge was built in 1914 and was completed in 1918. the long over towering bridge was made up of 8,500,000 pounds of steal that also included 195,000 pounds of rivals and 45,000 pounds of silver paint where used to cover the main arches of the bridge.the company The King bridge was responsible for creating the bridge.

the bridge initially costed 5,407,000 dollars to create the massive construction of the bridge. but in 2009 it was predicted that the cost would probably be around 200 million dollars just to fix damages to the bridge let alone try to rebuild the bridge it would really take alot out of the city's budget plan.

the bridge has not yet been repaired but they estimated that it would take about two years to rebuild the construction so that would hold up alto of imports and exports that ran in and out of the city day and night.but if the work to the bridge didn't happen soon the bridge could become in direr shape putting thousands of lives at risk if the bridge collapsed. this would benefit the people of Cleveland because they could know the bridge would be safe to drive on again if it got rebuilt but also hinder the city's econmony rate because the allows alot of major imports to be able to past over into the city.
