The first artifact I have to exemplify Standard 1 is a Multicultural Lesson Plan that I wrote for my Honors Analysis course.  This lesson plans brings diversity into my classroom and allows students to study different countries around the world.  The lesson plan connects back to Standard 1 when it states, "Teachers model respect for students' diverse cultures, languages skills, and experiences."  I want students to understand the importance of diversity inside and and outside my classroom. The second artifact is my edTPA sumbission confirmation that I received. I have completed my edTPA and am currently waiting on the results. However, completing the assessement alone has taught me a great amount about student learning and development. While completing the assessment, I had to anazlye all of my students and the diverse backgrounds which they come from. I had to pick three focus students to follow and further analyze their assessments; one of the students was gifted. I had to assess my students to see what they knew before I began my learning segment, then assessed them again after to have evidence of their growth. A majority of these tasks that I had to complete align directly with Standard 1. (File 1)
