Rationale: Story Pictures

Context

In CI3750, under the advisement of Dr. Jeff Goodman, I created a website designed for the use of students and teachers.  The website is divided into two pages one that includes digital pictures and instructions for the students and a page that gives the teacher instructions, ways to modify the assignment and a grading rubric. 

Impact

As a teacher, I can use the story picture assignment with my class and/or create a similar website that includes assignments for my students.  This website is a productive way that I, as a teacher, can teach my students technology skills.

Alignment

I have met NETS-Competency IA by using Taskstream to create a website and by using a word processing program to give student directions throughout the assignment.

I have met NETS-Competency IIA by including suggestions for modifying the assignments for diverse learners in the teacher section of the web page.

I have met NETS-Competency IIE by including strategies under the teacher section of the web page to help manage student learning.  For example, pairing students up, including stretch breaks during class time. etc.
