My High School

                               Tabb High School

Tabb High School is located in Yorktown, VA and is know to be one of the top schools academically in Virginia. I transferred to Tabb High School my sophomore year after moving from North Carolina where I attended Charles B. Aycock High School. In high school I took both advanced classes as well as AP history classes which were both challenging and demanding, which can be attributed to Tabb being one of the top public schools in Virginia as I stated before. My senior year at Tabb I also participated in both Key Club and was apart of the varsity tennis team.

Being on the tennis team was one of the most enjoyable and most rewarding experience that I got throughout my high school career and I severely regret not joining before my senior year. I had never really play tennis seriously before and initially joined because I already had many friends who were already on the team. Once I started practicing during the off season I began to love the sport and did everything in my power to better my skills and abilities. My coach noticed my effort and he helped to mentor me and to bring out my talents. I went from being at the very bottom to progressing all the way up into beating our number 5 player and eventually our number 4 player in the middle of our season. For most of the official season I played number 5 for singles and number 2 for doubles, which was more of my focus. At the end of our season I was given an award for superior sportsmanship as well as most progressed/improved player.
