8143 (MKTDYN)(CO-OP 1) - Full year course (must be in the course for the entire year to receive full credit. Can not be an early Grad) 3 credits. Prerequisite: Grades 11-12. Application required and selection is based upon grades and attendance; Dues for DECA.. This course will focus on the study of marketing concepts and principles and their practical applications along with work-based learning experience. Approved work sites include: retail, banks, cashiers, sales, grocery and department stores. Students will work a minimum of 15 hours per week. DECA membership is required.
8144(PRACMKTDYN) (CO-OP II) Full year course (must be in the course for the entire year to receive full credit. 3 credits. Prerequisite: Grade 12; Marketing Dynamics; Application required and selection is based upon grades and attendance; Dues for DECA. An advanced marketing course with an emphasis on developing decision making skills through a combination of school-based technical instruction and on-the-job training at an approved work site. The development of a marketing research project is a component. Students will work a minimum of 15 hours per week. DECA membership is required. Possible certification opportunity available.
